Ipoh food hunting with pou kaki

#Athrowbackpost :p

One thing that I love about Ipoh is the food. As we know, just like Penang, Ipoh is one of the food paradise in Malaysia. YEAHHH, we are foodies!! Therefore, we decided to have a IPOH food hunting after our exam *relax*

pou kaki
That day, I woke up pretty late, but luckily we still able to reach kl sentral on time.  After we reached Ipoh, our tour guide-wern jun come and bring us go for lunch- chicken rice. After lunch, is time for late afternoon tea break! We went to funny mountain奇峰 eat tau fu hua. This is the smoothest tau fu hua i ever had, you can even eat this by using straw. How can you resist this tau fu hua when you are in Ipoh. Next, we headed to sin eng heong's famous kaya puff (kaya kok) 新荣香. This is one of the food I love in this trip. :D We backed to Rita aunt's house early due to Henry this sick and weak boy.

Second day target is to take picture with the 7 Ipoh wall art murals which painted by Ernest Zacharevic, but before went for Ipoh mural let's feed our stomach first. We went nam heong 南香 to have a simple breaksfast.
The crispy egg tarts and ipoh white coffee.

3. EVOLUTION

4. PAPER PLANE

5. HUMMINGBIRD

However, we couldn't found the rest wall art which are TRISHAW and KOPI O. Anyway, beside the murals by Ernest, there have several others wall paintings around Ipoh area.

After searching so many murals, wern jun bring us to eat a special dessert- caramel custard which located at Thean Chun 天津。 Caramel custard 炖蛋 is like pudding but tasted more creamy and a little sweet for me.
What is our next plan? Don't worry, we have our plan B. Definitely, not for lunch hehe. Ipoh Plan B is different with other KL branch. You can visit their art gallery even though you didn't order anything food. Come on, is taking picture time! :D

happy guys feeling excited!

For a proper lunch, we headed over to Dai Shu Geok大树脚which is a must go place. There are many people crowded and make us hardly have a space to move or even to get a seat. The iced red bean is tasty. It's so rich and creamy. Another must order food is Yong Dou Fu. The stall always have long queue and people will squeezes themselves in order to grab whatever they want. Decide to have a exercise time-badminton since we eat too much foods. Wern jun's uncle is so kind and treat us Nyonya food as our dinner.

BADMINTON TIME!
When you go Ipoh, you must eat dim sum. Among three famous dim sum shop, we chose Yoke Fook Moon玉福满.

We spend around 30 minutes to arrive Kellie Castle (about 30 km from Ipoh). Unfortunately, It close that day due to construction. How I hope I can go into the castle and take picture like a princess *sob sob* Anyway, I heard that this castle was built by William Kellie Smith either a girt for his wife or a home for his son. Ipoh recreational Park Qing Xin Ling 清心嶺休闲文化村 is our another choice. So, what can visitors do when they come to this four-acre village? Visitors are free to enjoy their time here leaving all their work and life’s worries outside, true to the name of this property.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
